This section is designed as a foundational introduction to our faith and is primarily intended for new Christians who are curious with regard to Christian belief and doctrine. It may also prove valuable to the more mature believer who may be unsure of the biblical foundation for certain doctrines. It is critical that if we are to grow in our faith and be productive within the kingdom of God, that we learn to develop a lasting and intimate relationship with God. We can only build this relationship on solid foundations. The foundation for all our beliefs should be the revelation of God to man, in the person of Christ Jesus. We can be assured that if we earnestly desire to know God, He will make Himself known to us. The primary function of The Holy Spirit is to reveal Jesus to the world. If we allow Him, He will guide us through His Word (The Bible) and teach us the things we need to know. 

If we are to build anything, it is imperative that we build on good foundations otherwise the whole structure will eventually come crashing down. This principle holds true for our walk with God. If we are to trust God to lead and to guide us in each and every situation we encounter, we must know Him. To know Him is to love Him, to love Him is to trust Him. We cannot possibly love and trust Him if we don’t know Him! The more we read and study His word, the more we get to know Him. Should a time come in our lives when everything seems to conspire against us, we can confidently turn to our heavenly father in the certainty that He will show us the way. I pray that this small teaching encourages you to learn more and more about our God and that your journey with Him will be full of blessing.
